About Traffic Sign Recognition
Available Traffic Sign Recognition can display detected speed limit signs in your instrument cluster. This requires an active eligible subscription. The system uses a forward-facing camera, located in the rear-view mirror. It also uses the vehicle's navigation map data. The camera detects:
-
Speed signs
-
No-overtaking signs
-
Variable overhead speed signs
Why isn't the system working?
This feature needs navigation data for full functionality. You must accept the navigation data terms and conditions before it can operate. You only need to accept these terms once. However, if you turn the Offline Maps feature off in the Settings menu, the system will not work. Also, if you're in an area without network coverage, the feature may not work. This happens when your vehicle does not have stored offline maps for that area.
How to disable traffic sign alerts
If you prefer not to see traffic sign alerts, you can disable this function entirely. Depending on your vehicle's specification, you can deactivate it in the Settings menu. Alternatively, you can deselect it within the Driver Information Centre.
