P530 to P615 (SV) Power Upgrade
P530 to P615 (SV) Power Upgrade with 83hp increased! The P530 and P615 engines are 100% identical. The higher output OEM map is already present, we simply activate it.
Land Rover’s 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine (BMW S68) delivers exceptional performance. Offered in multiple power configurations, this engine underpins models like the Range Rover (L460) and Range Rover Sport (L461). What makes it truly exciting is that the hardware across the base (P530) and SV (P615) variants is identical—the only difference lies in the Car Configuration File (CCF) settings, which dictate the power output.
Factory Power Variants
The 4.4L V8 is available in three configurations:
- P530 (523hp): The base variant for both the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
- P615 (606hp): Found in the Range Rover SV
The Hidden Opportunity
The best part? The ECU maps for P615 are already embedded in the PCM (Power Control Module) of the P530 variant. By reconfiguring the CCF, you can safely and reliably unlock 85 to 100 additional horsepower, depending on your model.
Why This is Better Than Tuning
Unlike aftermarket tuning that flashes new software onto the ECU, this approach:
- Uses OEM Software: The higher-output ECU map is already present in the factory PCM.
- Maintains Dealer Compatibility: Over-the-air (OTA) updates and dealer software updates won’t overwrite the reconfiguration.
- Avoids Unauthorized DTCs: No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) like “P064F Unauthorized Software/Calibration Detected”, which often appear with non-manufacturer tunes.
