Dynamic Indicators

Dynamic sequential indicator lights (also known as animated direction indicators) improve the direction indicators by sequentially activating their light sources.

A dynamic indicator light does not flash on and off like traditional units. Instead, it runs with the vehicle, starting from the outside and sweeping inwards.

Are dynamic sequential indicator lights allowed in Europe?

Many European countries permit these lights. However, manufacturers must approve them according to European vehicle safety standards before marketing. Premium new vehicles increasingly feature them. They comply with the ECE regulation, which sets standards for light intensity, colour, and visibility.
