Upgrade your Blind Spot Monitor to Blind Spot Assist. The upgraded system will actively steer the vehicle to avoid collision.
Blind spot assistance warns drivers about vehicles in their side blind spots or fast‑approaching traffic. Here is what it does and how it works:
-
Detects vehicles hidden in the wing mirror's blind spot.
-
Alerts the driver to potential collision risks.
-
Activates steering intervention to avoid accidents.
The term ‘blind spot' describes the area in a wing mirror where drivers cannot momentarily see another moving vehicle. Blind spots can easily block other cars, motorbikes, cyclists, or pedestrians from your view.
When we learn to drive, instructors drill blind‑spot checks into us. During emergency stops, failing to check both near and offside blind spots can cause a test failure. Over time, however, many drivers change lanes and suddenly find an unseen vehicle alongside – or worse, cause an accident.
