Automatic High Beam Control – Enhanced Night Driving
The AHBA feature automatically selects and deselects high beam under specific conditions of road lighting and in the absence of other vehicle’s lights. The system is only active when the ambient light drops below a predetermined level.
This system automatically switches the headlights setting to low beam from high beam when it detects a vehicle ahead. Frequent usage of high beams allows for earlier detection of pedestrians, supporting safer driving.
Description of High Beam Assist
Auto High Beam Assist (AHBA) provides improved comfort and safety when driving at night. The system automatically controls the low and high beams when detecting other road users. When a forward-facing camera detects traffic and vehicles in front, the system dips the main beam automatically. Full height is restored when vehicles have passed.
Requirements for Automatic High Beam
You should have a Forward Facing Camera system.
