New JLR CCF Tools 4.9 CCF Editor, JLR VBF Editor for JLR 2017 – 2025 Registration for One System
How This Tool Works with Your Vehicle
This application lets you download the vehicle CCF VBF file by VIN number. It provides both as-built and as-is configuration files for all SDD and Pathfinder models.
Therefore, you can completely edit the car configuration files. This works for all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles built between 2017 and 2025, up to the present day. Moreover, it supports all vehicles that use either SDD or Pathfinder software.
Important Notes
Note 1: For the latest VBF files download for MY2024-2025 or newer JLR vehicles, you need to work with TOPIx cloud.
Note 2: CCF 4.9 will automatically upgrade to CCF Editor 5.0 upon your payment of the system installed.

Stand-Alone Application and File Handling
This stand-alone application works with either SDD or Pathfinder software to edit the CCF file. Then you can upload the edited file to the DFSM server or directly to the vehicle using SDD or Pathfinder.
For SDD and Pathfinder, there is a copy-to option. This option allows you to copy the downloaded and edited files to the appropriate directories.
For Pathfinder, we recommend using upload and letting Pathfinder download them. Moreover, the application supports SOAP encrypted *VBF files, which appear from time to time from JLR.
Download, Edit, and Upload Functions
You can download, edit, and upload the CCF file back to the DFSM server. Alternatively, you can load a local CCF file, edit it, and save it back to the original opened file or save it to a new file.
Additionally, the tool includes an easy-find feature for quick searching of parameters and parameter descriptions. You can also reload to undo all changes.

Frequently Asked Questions on JLR DOIP
How does the JLR VCI get updated for future Software Updates?
Periodically JLR releases updates to its products’ drivers and software. These updates are necessary to either release further device functionality or resolve field issues.
The diagnostic test application handles the updating of the drivers and software, which will install the updates on request. Therefore, if you experience problems during device use, always make sure that you have installed the latest device software and drivers.
How to Install the Diagnostics over Internet Protocol (DoIP) Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) Unit?
Before Installation:
- PATHFINDER requires a DoIP VCI unit to communicate with the 2017 model year Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494, and New Discovery L462.
- The DoIP VCI must be the only VCI connected to the JLR Approved Diagnostic Equipment when using PATHFINDER. Future PATHFINDER communications will appear soon in the ‘Activity Stream’ section on TOPIX. Every retailer MUST have the DoIP VCI available in their workshop.
- The DoIP VCI is the only JLR-approved VCI unit that can communicate with the 2017 model year vehicles identified earlier.
- Please be aware that the following instructions only apply for the first use of the VCI. Once you complete the initial installation and settings, the DoIP VCI becomes plug-and-play with the PATHFINDER software.

- The ‘VCI Manager Information’ pop-up will appear. Select ‘OK’ to continue. Note: Do not disconnect the DoIP VCI from the JLR Approved Diagnostic Equipment during the update process. Note: The DoIP VCI update process will take approximately 12 minutes to complete.
- The DoIP VCI will now automatically restart. Wait for the DoIP VCI to give an audible beep. Then select ‘OK’ to continue.
- Select ‘X’ and close the ‘VCI Manager’. The DoIP VCI is ready for use.
