Key programming involves encoding a vehicle’s digital security systems to accept a new remote or smart key fob. In Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, this requires:- Pairing the key fob (transponder chip) with the KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module)
- Synchronizing the vehicle’s immobilizer system
- Verifying ECU and BCM data to prevent theft/fraud entries
- Using JLR's security gateway to request programming access
